The Most Heart-Touching Romantic Drama

Introduction

I’ve always been a big fan of romantic dramas, as those films are full of emotions and keep me captivated until the very end. They focus on deeply emotional and complex love stories that are often threatened by internal and external obstacles. Moreover, their soundtracks are frequently used to set the mood and enhance the emotional impact of each scene. Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat was one of the most-awaited movies for me, as it belongs to the same genre I love to watch. I was also very excited to see Harshvardhan Rane’s performance, as he plays the lead role.

The Plot

The movie revolves around a politician, Vikramaditya(Harshvardhan Rane), a politician who falls deeply in love with a girl, Adaa(Sonam Bajwa), a free-spirited woman who sees love as liberation, not passion. The movie took an interesting turn when his(Vikramaditya) love turned into an obsession and his insecurities consumed him, which resulted in betrayal intertwining, and their love story became a haunting reflection on desire, ego, and the thin line between madness and devotion. The first half was a little low, but the second half was a powerhouse. Although the ending is tragic.

The Performance

The performance of the characters in the movie is great, especially the lead artist Harshvardhan Rane, who has truly surprised me with his powerful acting throughout the movie; not a single dialogue you will feel extra or over exaggerated. Sonam Bajwa has also not disappointed with her acting as the love interest of Vikramaditya, but in some scenes, I felt her acting doesn’t justify the scene; but overall, she has also done a great job. Not only the lead but the supporting characters have also done a great job to make the movie a big hit. I loved the performance of Shaad Randhawa, who gave a great performance being Vikram’s friend, Sachin Khedekar, and Rajesh Khere. Also, I would love to mention the very special role of Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, who has done an unforgettable acting being Adaa’s father in the movie. No amount of praise is enough for his work.

Standout Elements

I loved the overall movie, as Harshvardhan’s powerful role has brought grace and intensity into the movie. Apart from that, the poetic music, poetic dialogues, and themes of love turning into obsession have truly won my heart. But, the standout elements for me are the ending scene where the epic scene of Dushehrra is just outstanding, in which Adaa was planned to be killed. In this last scene, some of Vikramaditya last dialogues, and Adaa making Vikram wear the ring, touched my heart. What else can you expect other than ending like this? Such an outstanding movie ever watched.

Should You Watch it?

Milap Zaveri’s movies are always made for a certain group of people who love that particular kind of movie. His movies are known for intense, action-packed, and often gritty storylines with a specialty in vigilante justice, dramatic dialogues, and high-octane action sequences, which is truly witnessed in the movie. So if you love romantic dramas, beautiful poetic dialogues, and unforgettable soundtracks, this movie is a must-watch. In the first half, you may feel a little low, but the second half will hook you with outstanding action and emotional scenes, and everlasting soundtracks. Overall, this movie has everything that is enough to make your evening memorable by entertaining you till the end.
