Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is an upcoming movie releasing on 10th February 2012. It’s written and directed by Shakun Batra. It’s his first film as a director. Earlier he worked as an assistant director for the movies like “Rock On “, “Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na”.The film is produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma productions. Music is given by Amit Trivedi of “Wake up Sid”, ”Dev D” fame. The lyrics are penned by Amithab Bhattacharya.
This movie is of comedy and romance genre. This movie is a remake of “What happens in Vegas” starting Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher.
This movie was earlier named “Short Term Shaadi” but now renamed as “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu”
The story is about two people Rahul Kapoor(Imran Khan) and Riana Braganza (Kareena Kapoor).
Rahul Kapoor is a strict architect who belongs to upper class family and who wants to be exactly like his dad. But he loses his job in Las Vegas. He stays mum and doesn’t inform his parents about this and tries to find a new job for himself.
Riana Braganza is total opposite of Rahul Kapoor. She’s an upbeat, bright, happy go lucky girl who believes to live to the fullest. She’s a hairstylist by profession. Even she losses her job.
And now Fate lands both of them to meet on Christmas Eve for a few drinks. What happens next?It happens only in Vegas. the two down a considerable amount of alcohol and next morning when they wake up only to find out that they are married!
It’s always being said that “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas**”
They find it very hard to cope up with each other because of their opinions and nature. It takes 10 days to to get themselves another appointment for the topic of annulment of their marriage. In those 10 days they develop a kind of friendship that is nurtured by many sweet moments, arguments, fights, laughter etc.
Does this friendship turns into love? Or do they part their ways? This needs to be seen.
