Ek Tha Tiger - Salman Show All The Way.

Salman Khan - The Box Office Badshah Of Bollywood

After ‘Wanted, Dabangg, Ready & Bodyguard another Rs 100 plus crore club & Eid release movie of Salman Khan is Ek Tha Tiger. This is a good romantic thriller that compliments the spirit of this festive season. Content wise, the film offers nothing new but it provides enough entertainment to keep the audience engrossed. Many scenes in the movie defy logic, but who cares. The masses need entertainment and there is plenty of it.

Ek Tha Tiger is about a RAW agent on a secret mission to save his country. Tiger (Salman Khan) a RAW agent on a special mission to track important information of an Indian Scientist who makes high profile missiles, during his mission he come across Zoya (Katrina Kaif) & falls in love, rest of the story moves with many shocking twists & turns.

It’s a Salman Show all the way. He induces life in the film with his power packed performance. This time also Salman pleases his fans with an overdose of action. His dialogue delivery & comic timing is extraordinary. As always he looks handsome but in this movie, he looks better in every frame. Salman dominates the film from start to end. No second thought he is the best star in Bollywood.

Katrina Kaif deserves a compliment for her bold and tough role in the movie. She also impresses with her expressions and dialogue delivery. As for the rest of the cast, Roshan Seth as Scientist, Girish Karnad as Tiger’s boss and Ranvir Shorey (Gopi) Tiger’s aide do a decent job.

Director Kabir Khan has chosen good action stuff with a romantic touch, with Salman Khan at his best. Kabir has focused his attention more on Salman & action sequences rather than the story. The first half has neat narration with a small storyline, the second half is full of action. This is the best gift in 2012 for Salman Khan Fans.

Music by Sajid-Wajid & Sohail Sen is melodious and enjoyable. There are some excellent catchy tunes, Mashallah, Banjara & Saiyaara is my personal favorite song. This track is majestic in its composition. Aditya Chopra’s story successfully mixes a spy thriller with a love story.

Kabir Khan & Neelesh Misra’s dialogues are one of the highlights of the film. Dialogues are quite hilarious and entertaining. Cinematography by Aseem Mishra is very nice & every frame is worth applause. Rameshwar Bhagat’s editing is crisp in the first half while it could have been better in the second half. Production values are standard.

Ek Tha Tiger could have been a treat for Salman fans, but it just ends up as an ordinary commercial venture with an average script.

If one is looking for entertainment, then the film provides it but on the quality front, it is just average movie.
