My family shifted to Bangalore last year, and we got your daughter admitted to Ekya School ITPL, since it was closest to where we stay. We were a little apprehensive in the beginning, but 1 year into the school, here is what we feel:
The school creates a very warm and happy environment for the kids, because of which my daughter became at home very easily and adjusted to the new conditions and even looks forward to go to school.
The curriculum is very detailed for every subject. If you are looking for selective learning, or international curriculum or only interest based teaching, then Ekya is not the right school. They are like old school, with a comprehensive CBSE curriculum, even though they use lot of innovative and fun ways to teach students. I am happy with the progress of my daughter.
Sports and cultural events are there and teachers encourage everyones involvement. My daughter, in less than a year has taken part in Dramatics, singing, art competition, quiz, basketball and Experts at Ekya. She used to be very much restricted to herself before. So I cannot be happier.
Teachers are very helpful and easily accessible. They know their job very well.
But above everything else, what I love about the school is that my daughter respects elders, speaks politely, does not misbehave, while my neighbors kid almost shouts and abuses parents and elders, being from one of the leading international schools in Bangalore, not to mention wrongly pampered and obese. Sorry if that sounded rude, but its the harsh reality. My daughter is miles ahead of him in studies too, even though he is 1 year elder. So happy not to have sent my daughter to some international school.
