I made the mistake of buying this washing machine. Electrolux may be a good brand name in Europe, but here in India they have limited models and have absolutely NO SERVICE!! It looks like Videocon handles the service for them. The darned machine worked well for nearly 2 years and then all the troubles began. The water inlet relay broke

The service technician scammed us and made us pay a hefty price for a replacement part from Videocon. A few months later the inlet relay broke again!! It was replaced again with a generic part. A few days later the machine broke again!! After repeated calls to local service center and also main office in Delhi, a technician showed up after 2 weeks!! He diagnosed the problem and said he will return with a new timer to replace the fauly one.
Two weeks later and after many calls to the service center, I was told that the timer cannot be replaced. I have to purchase a new washing machine!! That’s right, a new washing machine!! The broken machine will be bought back at some depreciated rate. Isn’t this a scam? Would you do a similar thing with any high priced item? Moral: Don’t ever buy Electrolux in India.
Absolutely horrible experience which is not too different from others who have experienced it and written about it on MouthShut.
