Electrolux is a fraud company avoid its products. This festive season when you decide to buy an electronic gadget or any appliance keep the following in mind.
Do not buy the product only because it is cheap compared to the others. Do not buy the product from a company that has recently entered the market. After sales service is important and you will get ripped by fraud companies. Consult a friend/relative for their experience who already owns the product.
I wish to share my nightmare experience with Electrolux and recommend all prospective electronic gadget/appliances buyers not to touch any product from this company.
You should avoid Electrolux because of:
No after sales service. Incompetent, unethical, rude technicians.
I had bought an Electrolux washing machine three years ago and it was performing fairly okay. When one day last month it did not start and I had to call Electrolux.
I called their number 080-25220736 ;080-25221848 and the lady said that they would send a technician. The first thing even before finding out the problem the lady informed me that I have to pay inspection and visiting charges of 280 rupees. I agreed.
The next day the technician arrives and asks me what is the problem. I tell him that the washing machine is not switching on. Even before opening the machine he jumps to the conclusion that the pump is gone and that it would cost 1500 rupees. I was not willing to accept this nonsense. The technician told me that the pump is not available anywhere else and that you have to buy it from him only and that he will not be providing a bill. The same pump is available for 700 in the market.
Instead of opening the bolts that hold the bracket housing the pump, the technician bluntly put a screwdriver as a lever and dislodged the pump in the process breaking it and showing me that the pump is broken. This is a strategy employed by the technicians to cheat hapless customers. After a couple of day I purchased the pump and told the technician to fix it for me and he took his money and went away, but then he did not fit the pump properly and the machine started leaking now.
Remember leak was never the problem and the entire bathroom was getting flooded once we start the machine. The technician does not take my calls and is elusive and after three weeks calls up to say that another friend of his would come and fix it for me. The second friend also breaks the pump and shows me that the pump is broken. Enough is enough I tell me that this is a problem created by them and he somehow fixes it back and thankfully the machine is working and he leaves.
The Electrolux technicians instead of fixing a small problem, break the pump and rip the customers and cheat them. The technician who attended the call is one Janardhan from Bangalore
My conclusion is that Electrolux is a fraud company avoid its products and share this review with you friends and relatives to warn them and save them a lot of anxiety and be cheated by crooks who act as technicians.
