A bliss

This is the first book  I read of the author so I really can not make a statement but one thing is for sure the book leaves you with a blissful feeling.

Though there is no novelty in the story .a small town girl in the pursuit of becoming a samba dancer ends up as a pr*stitute. Succumbing to hostile unyielding world .But this is where the strength and tenacity of the character takes the centerstage .

What could have well been a saga of regret and agony for the girl having shunned the peaceful environs of her home to fulfill her dreams .turned out otherwise .The protagonist not only  takes it in her stride but also tries to perfect her art. and she does all this very unapologetic ally .

What strikes me the most the that despite being a woman of low virtue she  holds her in high esteem as she says she washes her sins in the cold water after every eleven minutes.

But the winner of course is the sacred nature of sex revealed in the later chapters.one is really tempted to think that how a physical stimulation becomes the connect between two souls .

What an interesting paradox it  is .A woman of low virtue   and soul enlightened woman .

manifested through the same instrument **Sex.

It really makes a soul stirring reading .
