I had installed Elica chimney a few years back , which I repent now .. Drawbacks- First , it’s expensive . It’s about ten times the price of a heavy duty exhaust fan .. Secondly , maintenance is very expensive . You are charged anywhere from Rs.500 to 2000 every three to four months ..
That you spend approximately 20000/ rupees initially and xthen about 1500/ p.a , minimum for service .. You may end up shelling out more if the product is outside warranty and if a part is replaced ..
The suction is also not as effective as a conventional exhaust fan , which doest need periodical cleaning and maintenance..
My suggestion is to install a premium brand heavy duty exhaust fan which would not be more than 4000/.
