This review is for an Elica Glace 2.5 ft chimney.
Pros:
The customer service (at least while purchasing the product) was good. Installation was done professionally. The guy arrived on time. No issues here. Haven’t tried servicing yet.
The suction and volume/speed of air coming out of a 15ft aluminium exhaust tube looks impressive. I think the rating of this chimney’s suction power is above average (1150 whatever).
Cons:
Pricing of the chimney seems to vary a lot. I purchased this model for 15K from a dealer. But after we bought it, on the same day, a retailer was willing to sell this model for 1K less! Moreover, the price of a 10ft aluminium exhaust tube from the dealer was 1K. The retailer was quoting Rs.650 for the same thing.
The fan buttons seem to work in a weird way. For the fan to run on max speed, all three fan speed switches should be depressed. I would have expected the other two fan speed switches to pop out as soon as I press fan speed 3. But it is not a big issue though. Just strange behavior.
I don’t know about the servicing and the ease of cleaning part yet. Will update this post when I tackle these. For now, I am reasonably happy. Except for the pricing part!
