I want to write this review about ichche/ elite travels so that no one falls to the trap of this cheaters.
Recently we went to Lava- Rishop- Lolleygaon trip with them. They demanded a hefty 9500 per head for this trip promising to provide deluxe cars, hotels and foods. All other reliable agents plan this tour within 7000. They charged extra service charges for ticket booking, outside this amount.
The Services...
No food during train journeys.. up and down. 1 L drinking water per head per day. Cheap foods in dirty restaurants.
An old Mahindra Max with 2 wheel drive. Told us to hire 4 wheel drive cars ourselves if we wished to go to steep hilly roads which are a must in these areas. So beautiful spots are curtailed from the trip.
The cheapest hotels available in every location. all in lower dirty parts of the location and some without running water, hot water, room service. Dirty small rooms in backside of hotels. The only person accompanying us was an old manager who gave no service, only busy in cost cutting. He rarely looked after our conveniences.
We were scheduled to board trains or buses in the evening of 26th May and reach Kolkata the next morning. The last meal provided to us was breakfast on 26th May and nothing thereafter. we had to take everything at own cost and hire hotels to stay at Siliguri till journey. We were promised that the agency will arrange for the return journey tickets in case they are not confirmed. But the manager at 1st denied to do that and then when went to buy tickets, charged Rs.200 extra per head.We ourselves had to cancel our unconfirmed tickets at NJP rail station.
We had to constantly argue with the manager for decent services. He even borrowed money from us which he returned only after repeated requests. I have completely lost my faith on Travel agents after this experience and urge everyone to be very careful about this Ichche/ Elite travels.
The travel authorities should ban this concern so that they cant cheat people and defame the whole travels community
