Well the product , Fair and Handsome, is indeed a great effort of the company Emami to compete in the mad race to create products which would sell and help them make money.The product is one of its kinds. and I guess there was never any fairness cream for men(as far as I can remember).It aims at grooming men, to make them conscious of their looks.Which is good in a way because it is a universally accepted truth that smart and good looking guys are always scarce in supply.(right girls???)
But again, the BIG FLAW here is that how can a fairness cream make a man handsome???I wonder!!! does having fair mean being handsom??? so then what about Abhishek Bachchan and Akshay Kumar...they are dark but far more handsome than their fair colegues!!!And my bf is dark, yet the MOST handsome man on the planet!!!!love u. And how I would hate him using a fairness cream!!Lolz...he’d kill me if I ask him to.hehehe!!!
for me...fairer men generally give the expression of being a sissy!!!dont they...though exceptions r there.But then what about the ages old ’’TALL DARK AND HANDSOM’’ criteria???well ask me..i still follow that..and I am sure many other girls do.one doesnt need to be fair to be attractive.
since long the original counterpart of this fairness series..’’fair and lovely’’ has been under debates for spreading this feeling of fair being better than the dark complexion.And indeed such products do nothing more than encouraging problems for the society by making people run after the complexion and not the qualities.Then people complaint when the matrimonial advertisments ard full of people wanting ’’fair girls’’.
If we let such products flood into our markets, i think we will add on to the problems we r already facing. I hate this concept of trying to become western to the extent that we want to now look like them!!!I completely oppose this idea of becoming ’’white’’...Hight of Neo- Colonization!!!
well for those who still feel the need to use it...man...grow up, if u cant accept urself the way u r...its ur biggest defeat.And guys...For girls, complexion is almost the last criteria.Try being fit and healthy (and ofcourse wealthy), and sensitive and kind and loving nd caring and understanding..and trust me no girl will ever rate ’’fairness’’ over all these qualities. what say gals??
