Im guessing everyone hear knows who the notorious Eminem is. For those who dont know (and need to get out more often) Eminem is the rapper hailing from Detroit who has stirred up quite a bit of controversy using abnormaly excplict https://lyrics. By excplict lyrics I mean he discusses killing, raping, drug use, and other similar topics. And thats what America loves.
Anyways, on to the album, now I havent actualy bought the album but ive heard all the songs. Ill review the songs one by one.
Curtains Up: Basicly a thirty some second intro of, basicaly just curtains opening. I personaly prefer Public Service Announcments better. Not much hear, ill give it a 3/5
White America: In this song, Eminem discusses how being white has begun to affect his sales for the better. Some people may not like this song for it is anti-America, until at the end when Em exclaims Im just playin America, you know I love you. I like the song and for some reason I really like the chorus. This one gets a 5/5
Business: For some reason some people dont like this song and im not sure why. Its one of those catchier songs more along the lines of a without me type song. Anyways, it gets a 4/5
Cleanin out my Closet Probably the darkest track on the album, this song is a big hit. In this song, Em mainly discusses this mama. Great song with a very nice beat. It gets a 5/5
Square Dance: Sorta an odd name, but I really like this song. The beat I love. Another quit catchy song. Not much more here, anyways, 4/5
The Kiss: I dont like skits, I just dont. Anyways, this is about Em out to Kill this b. He sees the b with another guy and she kisses him, thus giving it its name. 3/5
Soldier: An okay song, Em talks about how he will not be taken down. A bit of violence in this song. One of my least favorites but still good. 3/5
Sayin Goodbye to Hollywood: Probably the worse none-skit on the album. Ive heard it like twice and just hate it. Anyways, 2/5
Drips: (Note: This song is not on the edited CD) The first time I heard this song I thought whao. This is by far Ems dirtiest song. Its all about sex. And is very detailed and excplict. It features Obie Trice and about every other word outta his mouth is dirty. Dirty, but none the less good. 4/5
Without Me: If you havent heard this song before you really need to get out more. Probably the star song on this album. It is extremely catchy. It deffinatly deserves a 5/5
Paul Rosenburg: gasps Oh No, another skit! Not much, Paul tells Em to leave his gun at home. 2/5
Sing for the Moment: Another mega-hit. I havent met one person who disliked this song. The chorus is from Aero Smiths Dream On. Em talks about entertainment today. Wonderful. 5/5
Superman: the third biggest hit from the album, Em talks about how hell never let another relationship ruin him. Excplict but not as bad as Drips. 5/5
Hailies Song: This song is unlike any other song Em has ever wrote. Its a song dedicated to his daughter, Hailie. I feel this song truly shows that Em isnt a cold hearted person. 4/5 (cause Em cant sing)
Steve Berman: Steve dislikes Ems CD so he gets shot till he changes his mind. Anyways. 3/5
16.When the music stops: A song featurin D12 tha talks alot about killin. It has a real sudden ending where Bizzare says When the musics stops then you hear a gun shot. Quite effective. 4/5
- Say what you say: I dont like this song very much. im not sure why but I just dont. Anyways, its mostly Em and Dre tellin people to just keep sayin what they sayin and it wont effect them. 3/5
18.Till I Collapse: This was my favorite song for a while. It has a real nice clap beat to it and Nate Dogg delivers an awsome chorus. 5/5
My Dads Gone Crazy: I love this song, a great outro song. Quite catchy and funny at times. I always crack up when Em does his line bout his mother tellin him to talk nice, if youve heard it you know what im talkin about. It gets a 5/5
Curtains Close: In my opinion this is almost stupid. It has Ken singin a part from Without Me. 3/5
