To learn a foreign language is a great labour. Sometimes, a person begins to study it at the kindergarden and finishes at the University, but he can possess its standard only. This is because our brains resist penetrating the foreign structures into our native language. No doubt, there are persons who have abilities for learning languages. The Grammar of Chetananand Singh is solid and meaningful, at the same time it lacks the logical connections between different chapters. The role of the verb "to be" is not reflected in the complete manner. If we had got the alphabet of verbs, this auxiliary one would replace the letter "A". Its role is not underlined while speaking about forming of the Passive Voice. Its pity, but I dont see comparisons with similar grammar phenomena of other languages. Thus, there are more minuses than pluses. This work is a simple paraphrase of famous British grammar tutorials. Moreover, I would add that the moment of the speech act is very important, because the English phrase demonstrates clear and restrains forms. Especially, the problem of gerunds and participles use must be showed more distinctly. I recommend to read this book with the single target: to continue working out English grammar in accordance with your own experience in this sphere.
