I visited Enrich for the 1st time earlier this month and sorry to say it was the worst experience of my life. My office gifted me vouchers valuing to about Rs. 2000/- and I thought wow thats a lot of money so let me go to Enrich to get a facial done. I visited the Powai outlet and was pleased to see a very pleasant looking salon.
I was escorted by a very courteous beautician and I thought well so far so good. But I should have known that this was only a ploy to get me fooled. The beautician started off with first checking my skin and then she recommended a whole host of things that needs to be done bcoz my skin was in a bad shape. I was okay to going by her recommendations but wanted to know how much it would work out to. I had a voucher for 2000/-and didnt really want to put in more monies. She then proceeded to ask me if I was a member and how did I come to know about them. Here in I did my first mistake I showed her my vouchers which she conveniently took downstairs and came back up later saying that if u want a really good facial u will have to spend the entire voucher and put in some more money. I very clearly asked her how much more to which she said about 500/- more. I thought about it and agreed coz technically it was still only 500/- in cash I would be paying so I agreed. Now the facial got done and madame went on talking about how my skin is so bad & I need to buy some more products to take care of it. The facial felt good so I didnt complain and agreed to have a look at the products. Turns out the products are super expensive about 1000/- for a moisturiser so I gracefully said that I won’t be buying it and lets just proceed to pay. I forgot to mention that before we started the procedure I had asked for a rate card to which she said she would show it to me later. Now again I asked for the rate card and madame conveniently says there is no rate card its gone into printing and before I know it she slips a bill of 2000/- that I need to pay additional.
I was shell shocked so I asked for the manager. The manager is infact standing there all the time at the cashier listening to me argue with the beautician but she doesnt step forward till I actually call for her. The manager listens to my story and instead of empathising with me categorily tells me that if u won’t pay they will deduct the money from the beautician who by now is wailing away like Nirupama Roy trying to tell the world that I am lying and she had told me about the final amount. I keep my stand and reason with the manager that how cum no printed estimate of the bill or any physical document is not shown to the customer before the procedure as in the absence of any bill its always their word against ours. And u won’t believe it I am told that they do infact follow a procedure where they have to give a small handwritten bill filled up by the beautician to the client for approval. She obviously hadn’t shown that to me and when I asked the manager y she didnt follow the procedure all she kept saying
is that u pay or we cut her salary. I had half a nerve doing that but lookg at the crying Nirupa Roy I ended up paying for it.
Somebody mentioned that I should write about it so I landed up here and was surprised to see that many people have been cheated by this place. Just goes to show what the company is doing to itself. I just wish I had checked the reviews of this place before wasting my money here.
Guys pls beware of these suckers and pass the word out.
