EPSON STYLUS COLOUR 600

I have had this printer for about 3 years (on two different PC’s) and it still works just as well as it did then. Since this time, there haven’t really been any major new things in the world of printing standards. Even a lot of new printers don’t out-perform this one. Now that is an achievement.

Having had it for so long, it has really gone through the wars (so to say) and it has definitely come out tops. I haven’t had a major problem yet (apart from losing things myself). Even the ink cartridges last for a good length of time. One minor thing about the ink cartridges though, when you put a new one in, when it tells you it is out of ink it really isn’t, just take the cartridge out and put I back in. I don’t like this, because I think it is just Epson trying to make more money. Though this is only minor and I get the cartridges at £10 for black and £15 for colour.

It can print at a top resolution of 1440dpi (only a few printers can 2880dpi most do 1440dpi top) on Glossy Paper, which is great if you have a digital camera or even scan things in to your PC. Most of the time, I just use 720dpi, which produces great results even on normal photocopy paper.

I’m not sure what price this printer is now, but when I bought it, it was only £100 so it’s probably a really cheap thing, which is great, because it’s a great printer. It can even do T-Shirts, and you even get the game Big-Red-Racing with it, glossy paper and even paper for you to do your T-Shirts with.

~~~The Deciding Factor~~~
It’s a great all round package, with no problems just doing a normal office printing job. The only real thing it can’t do as well compared to new printers, is speed, but this is no real problem because it is less prone to mistakes (I’ve never had one) than if you are running pages out just for fun.
