This is probably going to be my only review where I am not recommending the product whatsover. Many of u would be wondering what my title means. Well, its the abbr. of SNTE- Say Never To Epson
I have been the owner of the epson stylus 480 printer for over a year now. I was satisfied with its performance only for the first few weeks. And ever since it’s been giving a hell a lot of problems though I guess my maintenance is pretty good. Apart from its good print quality there`s nothing else to add to recommend this product.
As most of you know, there are three modes of print-outs -->
Economic
High quality
Good quality, decent speed
Normally for purposes at home, people select the 3rd mode of operation as it works out economically and the print quality is good. But in an epson even this mode absorbs large amount of ink and the time it takes to deliver the print out, I would have made a cup of coffee by then.
To add to these woes it says pretty regularly ink is over even though a new catridge has been fixed. Then it seyz it has to be cleaned and stuff like that. And to add to these disadv. it does not even have a second switch on the epson so that the main switch can be left with continuos power supply. It doesn’t even have a tray to keep papers. so it would be absolutely stupid to buy an epson if u r going to do official work. it would drive u crazy letting go of the paper one by one.
So to sey in short - whatever the reason please do not buy an epson unless u have all the time in the world to carry out such slow progress(work). u need to have lot of patience to handle a machine like epson.
