I needed a printer for my home wherein I can print my digicam photos, my wife can print her recipes, and my niece can print her favourite cartoons.
I was searching for a printer which is of good quality, inexpensive, easy to use, has a longer warranty, and lastly, the ink cartridges should not cost the same as buying a new printer! Thought I wont find any printer which fits in all the above, but I could find Epson Stylus T11. This printer is compact and has removable paper trays. The text print quality is good. In fact, font 6 is very clear without any smudges. When I printed a test photo on an A4 size photo paper, I was surprised!!!
The photo quality was amazing!!!! I never expected such quality prints from an entry-level printer!!!! This printer comes with a software that allows you to correct red-eye and adjust brightness, contrast, and sharpness. One can print from thumbnail size to A4 size. You can also monitor the ink level in the cartridges. As there are four individual ink cartridges (black, blue, red, and yellow), you can just buy a particular colour if you run out of one. This option is available only in the high-end models of other companies. It costs around Rs.250 per cartridge. This printer has an on-site warranty of 2 years. I paid Rs. 2190/- for this printer. Overall, I am pleased with this printer’s performance for the last 4 months and would recommend anyone who is looking for a good entry-level printer.
