Believe me, I got a hug of my life when I gifted this to my Bro when I visited India during Feb. Its very sleeky and handy; especially my Bro says the Flap adds an air of panache and dash to your mobile communications !! It was an instant hit amongst his friends circle (Even yesterday, I received a mail from one of his friends asking to buy him a T-28).
But when it comes to functionality, T-28 it is just an ordinary phone. Doesnt live upto the expectations you will have set going by the looks. There are some specific problems which I observed:
1) The keypad response time is slow- i.e., when you press some key, it almost takes 2 light years for something to appear on the scren.
2) The flap is very delicate. If u r the rough-n-tuff kind, it T-28 is just NOT for u. It gets tampered easily and very expensive to replace. My brother managed to screw up the flap while I was there; and it cost him about 400 bucks to replace a new one.
3) Cant match the usability and convenience offered by Nokia.
4) Answer and Disconnect keys are covered by the flap. So to disconnect a call without answering, you must open the flap and disconnect (Only God should save you, if you had set Automatically answer when Flap Opens as yes).
So to summarize, this is can be considered as an entry level phone (and that too if you are buying from grey market !). Not recommended for advanced users (People used to cool Nokias will scoff at it). Or u can go for this if you already own a good cell and want a flashy and sleeky stuff at lesser price.
