Hey all, first of all this review is not abt ESPN school quiz....it’s abt the dream job contest...when I posted after completing the review it didn’t accept it..coz the legth went more than 7000 chars..and I dont want to edit also..baitke ithna type karne ke baad kaatne ka man nahi kiya ...thats why im posting it as two parts review 1 and 2..in which review 1 came under espn school quiz..dont mind plz....here we go.....
Closeup dream job contest Harshakhi khoj....months long contest ended up last month ( on the day when sachin missed history by just six runs) with ANAND NARASHIMAN becoming the next harsha......finishing touch was given by the winner himself as he was given the choice to finish up the program...he ended with this note..’’ so then closeup dream job contest..wat a dream run it was indeed.
4 months long 45000contestants...come to an end...thanx for staying with us all along...thanx to the wonderful jury led by harsha....thanx to the production team led by jasdeep....guys and gals stay tuned to ESPN STARSPORTS as deamjob 2 contest is right around the corner....its bye from the newest memeber of ESPN STARSPORTS family Aanand narashiman.byebye....’

FOUR FINALISTS:
Really speaking it was a splendid contest which went in the right way wat it desrves actually.... Though I havent seen the contest all along...from the reviews they showed on the final day I cud see the depth of competition....and no surprise in that..it has to be there afterall the participants were trying to become the next harshaa....
For the final round four contestants made it there...and they were
>Padamjeet singh.,
>Manish vallichaaaa..,
>Punit pal singh ..,
>Anand narashiman...
Now these four were the finalists ..and they were all set have a go for their dreamjob...
All r equally talented, smart, good looking with great fluency in their language ..creative ..good speakers in the sense they all deserve to be there in the hot seat of harshaa?but afterall this is a competition and only winner can be there?..
The finals program started with all these four sitting with parishad zorabian who was with the selecting team all along the contest..
Bascically all those 45000 contestants were filtered at various levels by using high efficiency filters (im a chemical engg that?s why, never mind?)they went thru various rounds right from their initial city rounds to the final?which included selected 35 contestants for the bangladsh tour wherein they gave live commentary with the commentators then they went phl league at hyderabad?.and finally four got selected for the grand final ..even in the final they shortlisted 2 for the grand finale?from 2 they made it to ONE?..
STORY ON SELF :
The four contestants were asked to say a short story abt themselves with a small footage going on abt their lifestyle and their family members , home, city?..each one described abt them ..their family and their preparations??
Padamjeet said ’’kya main in logon ki aankhaen ko kushi de paaon’’(on the screen his family members were wishing him and saying bye to him when he started for the final)?.
Puneetpal showed his beautiful shimla city?mansih went for a short drive in mumabi roads showing his life in mumbai?and Anand showed his house and breifly said how he prepared for this contest?.
These four were taken for a singapore trip too ?.
The finalists were taken to the ESPN office by Jasondiasey and he gave a glimpse of wat it realluy looks like in the office?.
LIVE ON SPORTSCENTRE:
Then the prefinal round was on ..these four were to read news in the Sportscentre live?
Puneetpal singh and Anand were the first to go in..with puneet to read in hindi and anand in english..the news director took them and briefed them wat ought to be done?.
And both did really well with no flaws?.
Then came Manish and padamjeet ..manish reding in english and padamjeet inhindi ..both did a splendid job?.but manish did a blunder here in this round which really proved to be fatal for him (atleast to me it is where manish went wrong?)actually wat he did was he went a bit late to news room than wat was expected to be the arrival time and moreover he left the news script which was supposed to be handed over to the one of the team member..when manish was abt to enter the news hall this guy came in running asking for the script?but manish coolly said its on my table?this incident made the jury to think that he is not a team man?.and it was also pointed out very cleraly by dez cockhill when he gave his vote?.
ROADMAP OF THE FOUR:
Before voting the going of all the four in this contest were shown and out of these four only manish vallicha made it to the finals clearing all the preliminary rounds and other three went thru really some bad patches in the contest..clearly indicating manish vallicha is the most talented in the group?.
With puneetpal having some family problem in the pre semi round he had to rush back home ans was unable to attend the pre semis..came to the semis as a wild card entry?.
Regarding padamjeet ..he infact had some bad memories in bangladesh tour?but he too managed to make it to the finals?
Anand is a real comeback guru in this contest ..twice he was not selected and he was forced to wait for the public choice..and the public didnt dissappoint him by choosing him for the finals?.
