I have been a great fan of Esprit watches since my wife gifted me one 7 years back. I returned the gift by buying her a couple of more watches from Esprit.
Let me first say that I received great reviews from friends and colleagues on the watch. But my experience with the watches have not been so great with the post purchase.
Listing a few inputs for future buyers to look at while taking decisions:
Battery die out at least 2 to 3 times a year. Suggestion from ASP Khimani Watches in Borivli was to stop the second hand which will give longer battery life which actually reduced the failure.
Had to shell out Almost 25% of watch cost due to water leakage in the watch which resulted in changing of coil. Thought of changing the watch but sentimental value got me to pay for repairs.
Post servicing water proofing of watch is gone which exposes the inner watch to rusting for which I shelled out the repair cost.
Wife’s watch glass came off and broke. got it repaired from Khimani which after one month fell off again. Fortunately, it did not break. Sales person at shop reluctant to believe this could happen which led to my wife giving quite a hearful to him.
Battery problem with wife’s watch also.
While I love the design and feel of the Watches which is extremely good, I am sure my next watch is not going to be Esprit.
