Word of advice - If your gadget needs a repair, go to an authorized service center and not to lying cheating private services like etechies.
This happened about a year and a half ago in Delhi, my HP Netbook needed some repair and I came across etechies website. I though it was something like Redington, where they give authorized services for multiple companies. When I called them and asked if it is one, they twisted their words cleverly to to make me believe it is an authorized center.
Later their manager came clean and hesitantly admitted that their ’engineers’ are trained at the authorized centers. On the phone their manager lunged like a typical salesman and started suggesting their products for my netbook without even hearing the problem. They made golden promises. An associate from them comes to pick your device up, you pay abut 1300/- for their initial examination of the device.
It was a bad decision when I decided to go for their services. Their associate came to take my netbook, I paid the said 1300/-. Then I got a call from them that the repairs for my netbook will cost 5000/- and yet it may or may not work. So much for their "trained engineers". So I decided to call my device back. My 1300/- was gone and I accepted that.
Though, it was a total loss. What enraged me was that they returned my netbook in a pathetic condition. IT HAD SCRATCHES all over and to top it off some OIL STAINS as if they all had a meal on it!!! Their associate denied any responsibility and claimed that my Netbook had all those scratches before I gave it to them.
So, my Netbook did not just come back unrepaired, it was as if I paid 1300/- from them to put more scratches and have their dinner on it.
I don’t know how their services are at other centers in other cities, but the one near Okhla in Delhi is full if sweet-talking liars.
