I am a resident of Sector 11, Panchkula, Haryana and have a water filter from EF for last many years. I got my water filter classic model serviced in 1st week of September from the same engineer (Mr. Jaspal) of Eureka Forbes who serviced it in January this year. I paid him approx Rs 850 for which he have me a proper Service receipt (in pink color) of Eureka forbes. But after two weeks another engineer from EF came to my home and told me that our service contract was due.
When I told him that I had already got it serviced, he asked me to get my receipt checked, on seeing the name of the engineer who serviced it, he said the said engineer had already left the company over a month back, and the quality of parts he replaced in my filter was suspect. The new engr told me he could check out the parts and replace them if fake, provided I again took an AMC from him. I told him I could not trust him also and he should show his I-card, to which he replied that he hadnt recd his I-card yet.
I then took up the issue with their branch office in Sec 16, Panchkula, Haryana who confirmed that the said engr had already left the company. When I told them that their ex-employee was using their company service receipts to fool their customers, they refused to do anything about it, and instead told me to call the said engr home on some pretext, and beat him up & recover my money. They said they have no control over their service receipt booklets as they were non-numbered. This even after I told them that some people were ruining their reputation by using their genuine service receipts.
This is the state of affairs at Eureka Forbes, a so called international brand.
I have the engineers number who serviced my filter, and can submit my customer details to prove my genuineness. . I have earlier also faced servicing issue from this company.
