A salesman from Eureka Forbes came to my house and insist me to purchase water purifier.
When he said what you use to purify water?
Been from middle class family I said that "We drink from Big Clay Pot, we say in India as Matkaa." He looked at us and made a weird expression as we have committed a crime. He said "you still drink from matkaa, that’s hilarious!!"
I said "what is so hilarious about that.?" He said "it does not purify water." I laughed my tummy out and told him to study about the Indian system of storing the water than come and do talking of what his corporates have taught you.
He still didn’t convince me.
I said matkaa is natural purifier, our grandparents use to store and drink from this only and they still lived happily. It provides essential minerals to the water also.
He said that "but aqua guard purifies water and you won’t get disease."
He kept on continuing that same marketing lies and kept talking about its product like it is the only thing in the world which gives pure water and everything is bad in the world.
I said if you can give me that in writing that "by drinking Aqua Guard you are 100% safe, you won’t get any disease than I will consider about it"
But he again went off to same marketing gimmick, instead of putting the fact which he didn’t know at all. He was just repeating what he was taught while in training of this job.
before he was about to leave I asked him simple question "what kind of water were you drinking in your childhood till you grown up?"
He said "Sir, Matke Kaa!!".
I would’ve bought it you know but due to his ignorance I had to put my decision on hold.
Let me tell you that all this big corporate giants has spread false rumor to sell their products.
But can’t help it this are the real ethics of corporates! and doing business.
