Sales fraud, poor quality product

The Aquaguard sales person told us that there won’t be any maintenance cost for it except for cleaning it 4 times a year. Only after having it for a year, we came to know from the service technician that the filter needs to be replaced once in every 1 to 1.5 years.

And the cost of filter is Rs. 3300! After we had the Aquaguard for about 1.5 years, the power adapter died. And the cost of replacing it was Rs. 1680! Their annual maintenance contract costs Rs. 3800! The actual material cost of that adapter would be much less.

They rip you off at every possible opportunity in all sorts of ways. Our place has a stable power supply with stand-by generator. None of our other appliances had any problem.

But, the electrical system of this junk of a product died. In summary: In addition to the initial purchase cost, it will cost you at least Rs. 3000 per year; assuming none of the parts break down!

Next time we buy, we will seriously consider competing products and even the option of simply buying water.
