The Eureka Forbes people indulge in false promise making to sell their products. The salesman came for a demo within few hours of requesting a demo. Told me the Enhance RO is one of the best and can filter different levels of impurities depending upon the filter membrane I choose. Told me that the person who bought Kent RO in a nearby area faced a lot of health issues. Came to my place to bill the product and gave a prompt delivery the next day.
The plumber sold me an additional pre-filter for 950/- along with a stand of approx 400/- in additional to the 14500/- I paid for the RO. The filter developed problems within a day of purchase. The motor kept switching on and off madly and the top of the tank started overflowing as their was no cutoff in effect. Raised 4 complaints and countless calls just to make the technician attend me at home. I was told that they will replace the unit of technician says that the unit has issues.
The technician told the same and agreed that the unit had issues. Before that he tried to fool us by opening the filter body and bypassing the so called flow-switch of the filter, saying that he was fixing the loose connection issues in wiring. We could easily see that he simply short-circuited the flow switch to bypass the device.
Later on after fighting with the service manager for multiple times, he still did not agree to replace the unit saying that they cannot resell the filter once the filtration membranes are wet. I mean, what the hell is that....first you sell a defective product to me and then try to persuade me to keep it with myself saying that we cannot resell it.
Somehow I managed to get the filter changed by fighting with the person who sold it to me. Now the second filter also has issues. The eureka forbes people fool us into buying their products and then don’t come for service. Should I file a consumer court complaint.
Adding to my disgust is the fact that their website says that the product will be taken back and the money will be refunded without any questions if you are not happy with it(only if bought online). I ordered for a demo online only. The direct marketing salesman from their company billed it at my home and not online with the credit card machine.
Eureka Forbes: You stole my 14450 (Filter)+350(stand)+950(pre-filter) rupees and you are thieves. Shame on you!
