Eureka! the boys have Sensa to sella

My experience with eureka forbes..

No middle men here...like samsung AC. I sent sms to eureka forbes for DEMO, they smsd a number.. guys came with new piece!!..? so I asked to install. Installed the next day. The aquaguard sensa, their flag ship product.. as I had read the manual I asked if they would flush the membrane which they did, installed and left. After about five hours the flow of water became a trickle and then mere drop by drop... It took 60 litres of reject water to fill the sensa 8 litre tank. ( I had collected the reject water in a big bucket). I shut the system and called their office saying I cannot afford wastage of 60 litres of precious water in chennai. after that for three days I continued calling no response.. (imagine the customer service for their brand new? piece)no picking of calls... no call back... must have made about 30 tries in three days.

Fortunately, I had given an outstation cheque .. I informed them by sms and stopped payment and to take back their product. Still.. one week... two weeks no response.. then a guy comes with an unsealed RO cylinder replaces it and water flows only this time reject water is...half of the earlier..after three days  i wanted to send the water to be checked for tds as I was not convinced why the earlier ro cylinder had high reject and this unsealed (claimed new by the guys) cylinder is seemingly OK (the water here is indeed very dirty). Fortunately the guys came again and the tds was checked which showed a high 110 - the feed water had 320 I was puzzled.. a good ro will remove about 95 %  and tds should not be more than 15 to 25...

I told them I was not convinced and to bring a sealed RO replacement cylinder. The guys keep quiet for a week and then call today to say that they will send a new sealed unit altogether. I say that I will be busy so get it on saturday the guy says will bring it now...i say ok.. The word ’sealed’ caught my attention (from the samsung experience) so I again checked the box of the unit I had in place because I remembered I had checked only the top initially the few weeks back, which had a proper seal..however, when I looked at the bottom  today.. same case of samsung experience ...the inital aquamall cello tape was cut to open along the partings and another cello tape on the top was put to conceal the fact that the box was already opened.. (check photos) and all this when there was an explicit  warning in bold on the box by aquaguard that the carton should not be opened until it reahes customer.

So a few hours ago today  the guys bought a "new sealed unit!!??" altogether.. I checked... same problem... seals broken on top and bootom this time and cello tape put on the original seal...I sent it back. I had a telling time convincing the guys who think all this is "normal". My problem is I want a filter..but I need to check the water. To be sure of the one that they had changed the ro unit..(costs much for checking) well I cant waste my time. Let them take it back (canned bisleri ki jai)...have heard that dipping Ro cylinder in hot water of certain temp can persuade it to reject less of really bad water but it ruins the ro and no longer filters its just the UV prevnting the alarm in the sensa..all chemicals in your stomach along with the dead bodies (we can say inactivated due to UV) of virus and bacteria. Well, ignorance is bliss...
