I bought this filter on November 2011. Within a week itself it stopped working. Service guy came and cleaned the outer filter, then it started working flawlessly. For those who purchased the only way to make it work is clean the outer filter for each and every week. I continued this process for every week but suddenly it also ended its life again bought an another filter for 350 Rs.
For other member you itself can clean the inside filter its really easy. Unscrew 2 nuts from both the side.( FYI: If you are not confident take a picture in your phone before taking the filter) . Clean the filter by connecting 1 side to the input line from the water tap and hit hard the filter by screw driver. you can clean 3 filter but don’t touch the TFC reverse osmosis cartridge filter( which has 2 pipe connection in 1side) . I continued this way and it lasted for nearly 2 years.( Do it with an interval of 6 months) . Last week only changed the inside 4 filter has the water taste changed. It costed me 4235Rs+ 425Rs= 4660Rs.
Guys be careful before signing the receipt check whether he has changed all the 5 filter. The receipt say 5 filter but he changed 4 filter only leaving the outer filter. The service guy cheated me that he doesn’t had the outer filter stock will change it in next day. While asking on the other day he say that he had changed the filter. Till now I am struggling to get the 5th filter from him. Soon gonna kick his face if he doesn’t give the filter.
Some member saying that insects are coming. For that place a cotton cloth or some cloth on the top of the filter covering that like triangular shaped cap. It definitely works.
