I had taken AMC for my Aquaguard RO Total model on 21st June 2011 and paid Rs 3660 for the same. So far the person has made 3 visits every 3 months and all he does as part of the AMC service is drop 2 drops of the liquid into the storage tank and flush out the entire water.
During this quarterly visit I insisted on seeing the TDS content of the water and found out it was above 140. The person who came in for the service said the Membrane could have conked out and he was not willing to replace it saying it was not covered in the AMC.
I do not understand, how Eureka Forbes can collect an amount of Rs 3660 in the name of an AMC for a technician to visit the customer home only 4 times in a year and just do some overall cleaning and not a systematic cleaning of the tubes, filters and membrane. I am equally horrified to know that my family have been drinking this water for over 6 months now, where the TDS is above the acceptable limits.
Only at the time of selling the product and during a demo before installation the salesman carries the TDS measuring machine and shows the high level content of TDS in the water we generally use. After that no one bothers to carry this unit and show the result. EF should insist service technicians to carry this mandatory after every service at the customer premises. Eureka Forbes are you listening?
Update as of 20th March - its a week now, since I wrote on MS and no one from EF has responded. I have made at least one call per day to EF Call Center asking for an update and all they have done till now, is only promise that someone will get in touch with me at the earliest. But no one has contacted. They are just taking it too lightly. A friend suggested that I file a Consumer case against them as this is deficiency of service and I have paid for an AMC where they have not serviced my product and my family has been drinking water which is not safe for consumption. I can very strongly comment today that in all my 37 years, I have NOT seen a pathetic service and fraud company like Eureka Forbes.
