I had bought the unit on 17/11/2009 from Sales executive of Eureka Forbes and the same was installed two days later. The unit initially had some problems nothing serious as such but the service provided was really pathetic. The one thing which I have noticed in past one year is that technicians do not have the competency to deal with the unit like Total Sensa. Things were going on pretty fine until 15/10/2010 when couple of cockroaches were spotted near the watertube inlet and also inside the water level container. There were couple of them inside the water tank too which I had cleaned 3-4 days back only.
Since it was already 10 in the night so I cleaned the tank and had the complaint registered on 16/10/2010 which was attended on 17/10/2010 by the regular technician who use to do servicing every quarter. The technician cleaned the unit again but could not explain how cockroaches reached water tank. Once cleaning was over he tried powering ON the unit but it did not happen. Upon checking the unit he told that circuit board had burnt and needed to be replaced and will be done in 3-4 days. I waited for the said duration but nothing happened.
When I checked with the call centre again I was informed that it will take some more days. One fine day the same technician rechecked the unit and came up with a another theory. This time circuit board was fine but adaptor was not working. Since then the cat and mouse game is on and issue is still unresolved. Inbetween I had made several calls to them and also raised couple of service requests online also but the situation still remains the same.
After experiencing all this I am really cursing the day when I bought the unit and trusted Eureka Forbes. The product overall is really good but the service provided is utterly pathetic. I think I should have gone for similar product from lesser known brands or even local made purifier could have been the better choice as after sales service would have been more or less the same.
