We purchased this in August 2011, and within 1 month did not work so had to call the customer service and after 15 days with so many follow ups we had a person who came and serviced this.
We live in Gerugambakkam Chennai wherein there a re around 4 to 5 can water manufactures who supply through out Chennai and our well water had a tds less than 300.
Then within 4 months we had another problem and we need to replace the pre-filter which I was told not covered under the warranty and had to spend 500 for that..
Again this filter was replaced in 9th month, Now in the 11th month they are saying I need to replace the membrane which will cost 4500 and that too it is not covered in the 24 months warranty. I am not sure whether this is the policy or the service person is trying to cheat us.
My advice would be to go for either a local brand with good customer service like Aquagrand plus or I have installed Kent RO last week in Ground floor and so far so good and the taste of the water is much better.
Planning to call the never existent customer care of Aqua guard today, and if they are not going to replace the membrane within warranty then will need to take this up in consumer court or better burn this product in a public place creating awareness among other customers.
