This is a water purifying system based on reverse osmosis. There are filters but
no ultra-violet ray. They claim there are 6 filters in series. One has to
replace all the filters after 10000 litres of water purification, which means
recurring expenditure to the extent of more than Rs 2000/- The manufacturer
claims that input water can contain a maximum of 2000 ppm of dissolved salt.It
reduces the salt content of input water by 90%. I purchased a Total robot Water
Purifier(WP) on exchange, on 28th February 2008.
I had Annual maintenance contract
(AMC)for an earlier model. I was promised by the sales person that I will get
the refund for the left out period of AMC of the earlier model from the date of
purchase of the new product. Problems:
(1)The WP went out of working condition
with in a months time. It was a tough task to make the people to come and set
it right. I went without drinking water for a few days.
(2) Dissolved salt
content of the input water was 540 ppm. Processed waters dissolver water
content was 54 ppm. The sales man promised me that I will have less than 40 ppm
in the output water, which was not the case. Mineral water which I was using
earlier had 24 ppm level of dissolved salt content. Thus Total Robots water
taste is not as good as the taste of the mineral water(3) It took nearly 2
months to get the invoice for the product, I purchased.
(3) Sales people are
highly dishonest. They told me that they will personally hand over the cheque
for AMC, which they have not done as on to-day(29th May, 2008) inspite of
repeated reminders to all the people at different levels. They are not telling
the status also.
(4) It is very difficult to deal with them and I will strongly
suggest to keep away from trouble I am pained to make my above observation after
giving them sufficient time to mend themselves which they have not botherd to
do. S.Sukumar
