I made the mistake of buying this stupid product from a careless dealer - M/s Sarathy located at Jayanagar 4th block in Bangalore. I was looking for good drinking water facility for me & my staff at our office. Since we had no water connection in our office, we decided to buy a water purifier which could be used without power supply.
I approached M/s Sarathy and the lady there recommended me to go for "Amrit" water purifier made by Eureka Forbes Ltd. The catchy box claimed to have two extra cartridges supplied free of cost with the box. The Kitanu Magnet did the company the trick & I got stuck to it.
Hats off to the marketing division personnel for taking me for a ride. I will start right from unpacking the box itself... The company supplied a CD for instructions on how to piece together the plastic components of this stupid product. I being an Engineer myself found it very difficult to install the filter. Neither the company nor the dealer is interested in the product once it is sold to us.
The company could have given a music CD instead. With great difficulty we managed to assemble this useless product. Initially water filtered into the lower chamber like a flood from an open dam. After successive use it took 24 hours to filter 8 litres of water!
Then guess what the second filter had to be installed because the original filter was clogged. Again the process repeated and all of us in our company were engaged in refilling - dispensing - cleansing - cleaning etc... wasting our productive time on this stupid product.
All the Cartridges are now exhausted and I went to M/s Sarathy to buy a new cartridge. The rude sales man there told me that the cartridge costs Rs. 400/-.
Dis-heartened & Unhappy I returned to my office with packaged drinking water bottles. The company claims that each cartridge filters 750 litres of water.
The product came with 3 cartridges and it should have filtered 2250 litres of water. Please do not get fooled by their insane specifications & the stupid "Kitanu Magnet" theory.
Request all of you not to waste money on this sub standard product from a hollow manufacturer with intent to cheat & lure gullible men like me. Never will I recommend any product from Eureka Forbes & Please do not buy anything from M/s Sarathy - Jayanagar.
