I got this after researching a lot of filters. I learned that RO could potentially filter even the necessary minerals and that was not acceptable for me. I have water through my corporation which is quite good.
I hate waiting for water to be boiled, cooled down etc when I am the most thirsty(Which is usually at middle of the night). Hence a fast working, filter+ UV is all that I wanted. This product is just that. Nothing more and nothing less.
Got this from Big Bazaar for a discounted rate(Rs. 4900) while MRP is at Rs. 5490). The installers from Eureka Forbes came on the second working day and did a swift installation.
Pros:
Sleek Looks and wall mountable
Low power consumption
Waterflow is decent at about 2 litres per minute
Savings on water heating costs
Cons:
Had a bad taste(which was introduced by the filter) for a week before the water became odor free. The output from the pipe that feeds to this filter was tasteless and odorless. So this must have come from the materials used in installation or due to the Filter components.
Boot-up time is about 30 seconds to a minute(which is acceptable) but not when you are in a hurry
Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the purchase and am using this daily. My parents still like boiled water due to an affinity towards warm water:(
Everyone else at home is ok with filtered water. Do consult with your family members before you buy this that they can switch to filtered water. Or you wont save much on the water heating cost.
