I write this review after undergoing severe torture meted out to me by Eureka Forbes in Bangalore. I bought an Aquaflow DX from the Girias store in Indiranagar, and from Day One, the unit dispenses water that tastes like chemical. I lodged a complaint on the call centre and they sent a technician after 4 days. The technician washed the unit inside out and went away, but the problem persisted.
Later they sent their so-called senior technician Murthy who tasted the water and almost vomited. Murthy then washed the UV filter with hot water and claimed the problem was solved. When even this was not solved, one genius called Achuthan intervened and decided to change a washer in the unit. But the problem simply persisted!
Later the service guys Achuthan and Murthy started suggesting that I should have bought an RO purifier instead of a UV one, despite me getting Cauvery water at my residence. So I said im ok with buying a costlier one, as im frustrated with this one which is giving me chemicals for nearly a month. But neither the dealer Girias, nor the service guys were willing to give me a replacement and let me buy a costlier one.
Then they kicked me around here and there.
One day I was asked to call the call centre, next day to the dealership, then to a joker called Venugopal, etc etc. The problem was nowhere from getting solved. Eventually I got the number of one Mr.Prakash Chandra, who claimed to be the head of Eureka Forbes for entire Karnataka. In my first call to him, he boasted thathis designation is so big. But what followed was nothing but avoiding my calls like a coward. It speaks volumes about hisdesignation.
This guy is the most unprofessional and untrained manager ive come across in my professional life. For more than 2 weeks now, hes been playing games with me by saying hell call me in an hour or two or so on, but does nothing about it. Honestly, Prakash Chandra is a disgrace to Eureka Forbes.
So to cut a long story short, Eureka Forbes sold me a waterpurifier that dispenses harmful chemicals mixed with water, and has no clue on how to repair it, and doesnt have the basic common sense to let me return it and buy a costlier product.
But im not going to spare them. I will definitely drag them to the consumer court and make sure they are taken to task!
