Eureka Forbes Aquasure Designa Water Purifier

Eureka Forbes...Strict No No !

I had purchased the Designa Model of Eureka Forbes Water Purifier in May 2005. Right from the begining, it used to give me problems. The main problem was that the water flow was very slow.


Each time I complained (which was almost 9-10 times in 12 months) I got a different excuse and solution for the same, some of them were ;




  • This is a table top model and cannot be fixed on a wall........ (The salesman never informed us about this)




  • Your water pressure is low .........(when the entire building is having the same pressure and all purifiers are working fine elsewhere)




  • We will have to install a booster for faster supply and pls take the booster from Eureka Forbes only or else we do not give guarantee.........(another way of making money)




  • Best excuse was given by one Service guy who said...’I will take your machine at my house and check it there as I have a good water pressure in my house......(guess there are no service centres of Eureka Forbes ?)




  • Your filter is choked and we will have to put a new filter.....(which they cleant but to no avail)




  • Why didn’t you inform us that you had a Baby filter a this will not work with this macine....(What were your Service guys doing when they came for servicing so many times, didn’t they notice?)






Each time I kept on telling them pls change the product as this is defective. Since I have a one year guarantee/warranty this could have been done. They refused to changed. Finally the one year period was over. When I complained again, they said Sorry Madam, we cannot do anything now as your warranty period is over. Wow ! I was a fool complaining about the same for such a long time.


I got fed up and wrote a letter to some of the leading newspapers...but nobody printed my letter till today.


Finally I spoke to the Directors Office and a sweet lady out there immediatly took action and there were Engineers from Eureka Forbes all over my place and giving me hundreds of calls to make sure that everything is alright.


I still have the same Water purifier. They have replaced the baby filter with a big filter....that’s it.


I dont know how long this is going to last now. But one thing is sure, I will never buy or recommend any Eureka Forbes products again in my life.
