I always had high expectations from any product from a TATA firm. I had the same expectation when I bought the Eureka Forbes(EF) Aqua Guard Classic+. But I was totally disillusioned. It was simplyOperation Cheat right from the beginning.
The EF sales person visited my flat and persuaded me to buy the water purifier before sunset on 29th December 2018 so as to take advantage of a discount of Rs 500/-. Once I made the payment online with my credit card(PO Number: SO838661 and Date: 29.12.2018). I was told that I was not eligible for the benefit. Lodged a complaint with the EF about this type of cheating but without any success.
After one year(December 2019), the EF staff were after me for renewing the Annual Maintenance Contract(AMC) even before the completion of the first year free AMC. The staff was eager to collect the cheque in December 2019 but did not provide any service like annual replacement of some parts. They did not trust me or my cheque. But they expected me to trust them that they would provide the service after realizing my cheque. I had to trust EF since it is the sellers market in our Shining India. I trust EF even ow after all the bad experience. EF enchased my cheque in December 2019 but took six months to provide service. After repeated complaints, EF visited my flat in June 2020 and replaced some parts etc.
EF is very meticulous in its track of calendar. Even before December 2020, the EF staff started approaching me to renew the AMC. I could not convince them that it did not make sense to renew the contract after just six months of their first service under the new AMC. I had to pay. I paid nearly Rs 3000 in December 2020. Now water is not flowing smoothly in my EF Aqua Guard. I have lodged a complaint. I am advised to wait since this is the Covid Era. Even without Covid, I would have waited. This is what EF has taught me.
Eureka! Eureka! Eureka Forbes!
