I am writing this to tell that how much pain has been caused because of choosing Euro clean pro of Eureka forbes .. we have owned Eureka forbes products since long and I had been impressed with their performance so much since my childhood that now when I needed to buy a new vacuum cleaner for myself .. called for eurekaforbes sales person in September.
I told the person that I am an asthma patient and highly allergic to dust and house allergens ..no need to mention how much weakening and tiring every bronchitis attack is...which I had been successfully controlling since 4 years with yoga , diet and ayurveda.
I had almost forgotten that I could be so sick again and to ensure this what I needed was an highly efficient vacuum to tackle allergens and the person informed me that the best product available for me is Euroclean pro steam vaccum cleaner ..
when requested for demo I was told that I will have to rely on faith as live demo is not possible because very few people buy this model so they don’t have it at their office .. Only thing he could show me was a photograph with technical specifications written ( which are hard to imagine until seen) and promised that I will receive a new piece direct from company and all my allergy and cleaning problems will be gone after using it..and if not satisfied at all then I could return it.. as he will always be there for help!!
To start with .. the product came in water soaked carton with drenched documents as it was raining then and no efforts had been made to ensure waterproofing of any thing ... though I received it as I had already waited for long and needed it as diwali festival was approaching. No one came for next 15 days even though we had told call center people for demo.. and when the sales person came , sadly he realized that it was giving only hot water jet and steam was nowhere to be seen ..
So a series of visits by tech experts occurred to open the machine & make it work but painfully it couldn’t & had to be sent back and replaced with a new piece .
This new piece has been a horror to me since it has come because like previous one it sends off a lot of water jet and then a little amount of steam forms which is so wet that rather than cleaning
It heightens the overall humidity levels of my house which is a perfect breeding environment for house mites and whatever little amount of steam forms- feels good at that moment but minutes later the air is so humid that it triggers sneezing attacks & sinus problems.
The machine is so heavy that after using it for 20 minutes I get exhausted ( to remind again I am not an athlete but a patient with a 4 yrs old child and a lot of responsibilities which leave me with very little power to deal with heavy machinery) I would rather prefer to take my medication & have a sound sleep..
the machine is so loud that it sets off sinus related splitting headache which makes me nauseous with bouts of vomiting..
to top it all it gave me asthmatic attacks which threw me in bed for 5 days during Diwali festival...... When I finally realized that the steam cleaning was not working then I changed the filter for dry cleaning mode & used the HEPA filter & with that I vacuumed all my house as machine came two months late and Diwali was close by.
The dust contained powered rat poison cakes & other poisonous things which lay scattered in hidden corners of house to kill Termites , Cockroaches etc ( tell me who doesn’t use them????)
and to my horror dust clouds formed which I inhaled as I was not even using face mask as I was informed that HEPA filter filters it all.....!!!!
It was God’s will and my fate that I didn’t die and couldn’t become my last Diwali but my undying faith on Eurekaforbes has certainly died....
Since then my husband saddened and shocked by the event called the sales person who after avoiding many calls told him to do whatever he can!!! but the company will not do any thing....
Somethings which too need to be explained are :-
Why was I suggested such a machine when I don’t have a maid and have to handle the heaviness loudness and mess of cleaning the toxins of the machine, all by myself.
The machine itself needs after care and cleaning which is like extra burden or else company will say I didn’t look after vacuum that’s why it didn’t last long!!
The total floor area of my house is 60 sq ft . In such a small flat maid charges 350 rs per month for total cleaning and rest for me where as Euro clean pro cost me 25000 rs for dry vacuuming as its steam function is rubbish for me) with partial cleaning, heavy aftercare , exhaustion and sickness.
What is the role of sales representative? are they not responsible to guide us based on need , usefulness, usability, cost-effectiveness & other such sensitive points?
because after booking sales worth 25000 rs/- I am utterly disappointed and he says he is not answerable..
