I purchased a Euroclean WnD vacuum cleaner about a year and half back. Initially it worked reasonably well, although there were some minor issues. However, the overall performance of the product was OK. After the warranty of this product expired the motor of the VC started malfunctioning and about a month back it stopped working. I lodged a complaint on 23rd of June(complaint id 87133389).
This is about a month now, the problem is not yet attended. I called the customer service center several times(at least 10 times) and every time they come up with a same answer: on that day itself the issue would be resolved. The day has not yet come yet.
There is a service escalation matrix in Eureka Forbes website. The funny part of the service escalation is that it does not accept the service complaint number(the one obtained by lodging complaint through phone). Essentially, EF has made all arrangements to make sure that customers get sufficiently frustrated to reach them for getting the service.
In one word, the service of EF is abysmal. In general, in India, in such situation, the customer is the one who suffers the most and this will not change unless there is a strong customer centric law enforced.
In my opinion, one must not purchase EF product. The main reason is not the product or a particular service is not done is time. The main reason is utter negligence and deliberate ignorance of customer request. It is the philosophy in which EF runs their business: sell a product and then forget about it, there will be next set of people who can be cheated to sustain the business.
