Hi,
I had a eureka dry vacuum cleaner and got a deal from the salesman in a exhibition to swap it for a dry and wet one.
The deal was to get a Rs1000.00 as exchange discount for the dry one and the salesman promised life time warranty, two extra brushes and a bag to house the dry and wet unit.
I got the unit but the life time warranty was not specified, when enquired the salesman said the service center will recognize the bill number and will service it free.
The salesman did not deliver the promised extra two brushes and the bag.
I followed it up for 4 months and the salesman use to say he will deliver in a weeks time and afterwards started switching off the phone once I called him.
I called his manager and said the salesman did not honour the deal, but his manager said there is no the salesman can provide extra brushes or bag and he cant help and I need to contact the salesman only. (I do not know what a manager is for).
Since I opted for payment in installments, I issued a stop payment for the last PDC. Then the salesman himself contacted saying the Finance is asking for the stop payment. I asked about the deal and after a long drawn arguments he agreed to deliver the two brushes and the bag. But when he delivered a brushes those were used ones and the bag was a damaged one. As he pleaded that his job was at stake I released the last installment.
My anguish was on the eureka management or sales office who said that they are not responsible for salesman promises. When I asked them that whether the salesman are not part of eureka or are they not representative of eureka they do not give proper answer.
Unless eureka management revamps or trains well their sales personnel, it is going to loose their major sales share in the market.
I will think twice before recommending Eureka to others, even if their products are good.
