A guy recently came to my house on 3/2/09 and told me Eureka Forbes is offering Aquaguard Reviva for Rs.9990.
When asked what the price is without the offer, he told me that Reviva is a short term model and will not be available after 10/2/09 and I will end up buying AquaguardTotal which would cost about Rs.15000.
He claimed that both models have the same features such as SILVERNANO TECHNOLOGY" and the only difference is that Reviva doesnt have automatic cleaning system;its manual. He didnt give me any pamphlets since they got over.
He told me to pay a small price(Rs.500) and take EMI(6x1280) and book the machine, since the offer closes on 10th. So I gave him Rs.500 and 6cheques(Rs.1280 each)and he gave me a receipt. The next day hedelivered the product.
Another guy came on 8/2/09 and installedthe product. The guy came back on 10/2/09 and asked me for more money since the down payment was Rs.3400 and that he had planned to adjust the remaining amount till I would pay him later.
But then he said he had met with an accident and he couldnt do it. So I gave him anotherRs.1500. He said he would pay the remaining amount and get from me bythe end of the month.
That night when I went through the user Manuel I learnt that there was no "silver nano technology" in theproduct as claimed by the sales rep. I got a call from their office to confirm my address. When I asked my doubt to them, they explained that Reviva and Total are different models and the "silver nano technology"is not in Reviva and a few more differences are there.
When I told them about their representatives claims, they said they would ask him to meet me. The rep. came after some time and said he was sorry. I told him to take the product back & return my cheques and the advance of Rs.2000.
He pleaded with me and said "silver nanotechnology" was an "eye-washer" from Eureka Forbes and Reviva would be-just fine without it. He asked me not to call their office as he would lose the job, and that he would come back with a plumber and take it back. He never turned up the next day. When I called him, he said he-would come on Sunday(15/2/09) and take it. He said if he achieved his target, the company would take him abroad, and so he sold the product to me hiding the truth.
The guy never came on Sunday too. Im frustrated even before I started using the product. How can a company such as EF employ such unprofessional salesmen who would go to any extent just to win a trip abroad? Or is it the training they get from the company itself? And seeing the reviews here, I see that the serviceis also pathetic.
Ive already told every person I know to be careful not to fall prey to Eureka Forbes. And never in my life will my family or anyone close to me, buy anything from Eureka Forbes. Im consulting with my lawyer about proceeding legally since they are not responding...
Let this be the ultimate warning to anyone who hasnt made up their minds after seeing the reviews posted before me... You will be cheated. There are so many other products out there in the market. Lets try one of them. Lets shut the door on Eureka Forbes.
