Though Reviva is a good product, users must be aware of a lot of cheating carried out by the Franchisees of Eureka Forbes who service this product. The so called "Service Engineers" hoodwink you and recycle the filters and membranes. They will take out the ’new’ filters from fresh packing but all they give you is recycled stuff, at least in Noida. The Eureka Forbes people insist upon taking back the used filters on the pretext of returning these for destroying but the destroying never takes place. You will find that your Reviva starts malfunctioning within 3 months. I am saying this on the authority of my past 2 experiences of this nature. Try complaining to Eureka Forbes. They will (1) not entertain your complaint (2) refuse to believe you. Check it out yourself.
I do not have any data on other RO systems but I believe these are no better. As regards pricing, this too appears very high. The entire set of filters including memberane costs INR 3300/- (Approx). You are then left with only the motor, the water tank and the empty shell. To charge INR 10, 000/- for this paraphernalia is ridiculous by any strech of imagination. I think this product should be priced at INR 7000/-.
