I have not seen ENAVO ORUVAN but I have seen "Dombivli Fast" ( and Not Dombivli East)
After reading various reviews, I can say that the only change in tamil version is set of artists.Original was superb and hard hitting social cinematic experience. Now the point in writing this passage here is to prove one guy on this forum, wrong. He writes about budget of the movie and links it to the quality of overall cinematic experience....Funny isnt it.
Well.. I dont know what kind of good cinema he refers to ;but whatever he expressed on this platform was bit annoying. He basically has not got exposed to the quality cinema.A good cinema is not surely the outcome of big budget or song sequence or exposing flesh or dancing good shaped asses around the tree. Its all about telling Story in the best possible way.If one succeed, the Final outcome is the Best Cinematic experience. Dombivli Fast did exactly that...It hits the audience exactly where it hearts. It seems that Tamil people dont like to introspect or I can say, .. dont want to see the realities depicted on silver screen and live in dreams shown by their so called commercial entertainers and and happy in making god out of masal film actors.
Mr. Jay come out of themindset of front bencher tobacco chewing cinema goer. Look at the cinema in more serious way and then you will enjoy the monologue of Shridhar Vasudevan where he urges god to take away his soul.Fighting with Cola vendor isnt supid matter..but generally we think it is and let them rob us.Yes we feel cheated but we have no time to fight with them..shridhar vasudevan does it, ..He has expressed something which is hidden within..at least in some of us.
Movie is not always about larger than life things ....Its about true to the life things also.
Now Mr. Jay , have you ever seen Documentaries..?I dont think so , otherwise you wouldnt have commented that stupid statement .
Enavo Oruvan is surely not a documentary bcz it has a story to tell, its not only about Shridhar Vasudevan, its about you , me and all of us in this society.
One suggestion for Mr. Jay MASALA FILMWALA, go and see something like Life is Beautiful, Childrens of heaven, Baran, Forest Gump, The Green Mile before giving your expert comments on the real good Cinema.
Best of Luck
