Have you ever spelled Evian backwards? I wonder if they are just sitting back laughing hysterically while they make out their bank deposits. Still don’t get it? Evian spells naive backwards, which according to Webster’s dictionary means 1.) marked by unaffected simplicity 2.) not previously subjected to experimentation or a particular experimental situation. Of course, I always thought it to mean someone that was particularly stupid or ignorant to a situation.
Regardless, I thought it was a rather charming play on words and a great name for the beverage. Bottled water? Who would have thought millions and millions of bottles of water would be sold on a daily basis? Apparently they did. The Evian brand is one of the premium bottled waters offered on the market today and my choice for water next to Pellegrino.
