Unfortunately, we booked a bed and mattress from Evok a few weeks ago. They promised delivery after 10 days. But, due to some hiccups from the Finance side, the items were confirmed to be delivered on 7th June 2012. However, for our convenience we asked them to be delivered on Saturday, the 9th. Every time we had to call as there was no attempt to contact us from their side. We also visited the store once to remind them about the delivery date.
Finally, on Saturday, when we called, they said that the items will be delivered on Sunday. And on Sunday, they tell us that there has been a mistake in the Items send from Mumbai. To our dismay, instead of our bed, they send some other Item! The items will reach us only on Tuesday. We had already dismantled our bed to make space for the new one.
This was enough! We visited the store manager and told him to cancel the order. There were no real attempts to win back the customer but a faint apology. He asked us to mail the "concern" to the email id given in the Invoice with CC to him. There was no response and the store manager had his cell phone switched off. We did feel that this mailing business was a tactic to delay the order cancellation.
Whats more is left to say? There are a 1000 places in Pune to get your Home Furnishings! Evok is just not the place!
