I have 3 policies from ING Vysya. Took the policies as the agent was giving good discount. After enrolling for policies I understood that the company is very customer friendly and more so thier marketing department themselves serve as agents and offer excellent service.
Returns as I could see are average(not comparable to LIC or ICICI Prudential) but charges are less than that of ICICI - however nothing to beat LIC on charges front.
On a whole I am sure thier products are stereotyped, charges are medium, returns are medium but customer service is excellent. Thats what matters most to me - beyond me and my life if some one is trying to call insurer - she / he should feel respected, cared and get the work done easily. Thats where I think ING will score over other insurers
So if you are planning to take ING Policy - make sure you call thier help lines and take it directly from the company rather than the agents. You may lose out a bit on commission back/cash back but you will get excellent service in case of any mishap
Another thing - thier riders are difficult to crack - I couldnt find them convicing - neither could anyone explain me convicingly
