I booked rooms in Hotel Jayaram suite for 2 days(25th Dec and 26th Dec) and was send my confirmation immediately. Then 2 days before the travel I got a mail saying they have shifted my reservation to some other hotel since Jayaram Hotel does not have any rooms. They should have called us for the same but they did not think it was needed. Then we got the mail that 2nd day also they have shifted to other hotel. Now also we got the mail one day before the travel and when we saw the rooms prices in those hotels were far less than the one we booked for.
Anyways we reached the other hotel and found out there was no booking now let me remind you they do not have a toll free number. So we started calling Expedia and spent almost some 200 Rs on call waiting and shifting from one department to other.
Finally after 5 hours of toiling with the kid with no rooms to stay after a hectic journey Expedia said they have got us a booking in Jayaram hotel itself we found out it was not a suite we booked but a normal room and Jayaram told us since they refunded the amount to Expedia after they said they dont have rooms we may need to pay for the room.
Again after calling Expedia and again explaining them about what has happened spending some 50 bucks they told they cannot reach the hotel and I should call them back after few hours.
There is no resolution as of now and I am staying in the room. My holidays are ruined.
