If you want to gamble with your household items, choose Express Movers & packers for relocation. I had to move from Bangalore to Mumbai and invited quotations from quite a few movers & packers. The quotation offered by Express movers and packers was the least and approx 50% of what was offered by the prestigious movers & packers - Agarwal Movers & packers.
Because of their lowest price, I decide to choose them. I had rented a house in Mumbai and was suppose to shift there on 31st August. Therefore I requested them to pack up everything on 26th August so that there is a good amount of buffer and things will reach on 31st. They came to my house and packed everything very well. My wife was on the top of the world after seeing the way they had packed.
However things started going awry when we reached Mumbai. The day I was supposed to get the items (31st August), I was told that truck has been stopped by the police because they don’t have the papers of the motorcycle that was being transported. Somehow I managed to fax them the papers and was worried how would I stay in the house without household items.
They promised me that it will reach next day and that reduced my anxiety. We decided to sleep on the floor of the house as we have to adjust only for one day.
Next day we were told that the goods have reached Pune and they will be delivered next morning. I had to sleep for another day on the floor. When we tried calling them next day when the items didn’t reached, these crooks (Ajay, sandeep & gang) were not picking up the phone. On being called from PCO, they finally picked up the phone and told us that the goods are on the way and will reach next day morning. That night again we had to sleep on the floor :( . Finally the items reached on 3rd September in the afternoon. The truck guy asked for the payment first before unloading. I had to accept it. Further at the time of unloading they had sent only one person and didn’t do the unpacking which they had promised us earlier.
When I talked to the truck guy, I was told that they had stareted from bangalore on 1st september evening!!!! The goods were supposed to have reached Mumbai on 31st after being packed on 26th and they started only on 1st!!!! Further he told me that it takes 24 hours to reach Mumbai from bangalore....
AJAY, SANDEEP & GANG has always been telling us lies that the goods have been caught by the police for the lack of papers (which they never asked from us at the time of packaging). They were constantly lying to us that the goods will reach anytime to our house. and like idiots we were waiting at home leaving all other work.....
Again 1 item was found to be missing from the goods and I am still waiting for it to be delivered!!!!
I will suggest you to not to go for Express Movers & Packers or any other agency which is promising you relocation at subsctantially lower market rates... Their business model is flawed as they wait for some other customer to relocate and then move the goods of the two customers together in a single truck....
