Eye Of The World is the first book in the Wheel Of Time series which is right now at the tenth book and still counting! (two more to go I think!) Each book of these series would weigh enough to kill a dog should you throw one of the books at it. (yuppe, its that long)
Dont let the length of the story deter you though. its an AMAZING read.

Ok... that done, what is the book about?
Robert Jordan has been hailed as the best thing to come out of the fantasy genre since JRR Tolkien, and a title rightfully earned. His words are very discriptive n he doesnt leave a single detail out (constributing to the length of the story I suppose) and he has the power to capture your imagination and pull you into the tale he has woven where might, magic, mystery and intrigue are spawned and lives in the eternal glory of fantasy. (god im bad at sounding poetic)
but anyway... eye of the world is where it all starts off. a simple village boy, RandAlThor found his world turned upside down two starngers walked into his village. They introduced themselves as Moraine and Lan and soon the whole village was buzzing about Moraine being one of the fabled Aes Sedai and Lan was her warder.
In the midst of it all, horrible creatures started attacking the village where RandAlthor was told it was him they seek. Bidding him to come away, RandAlthor followed Moraine away from the village followed by his friends Perrin and Mat.
Thus begins the adventure.....

The storyline is very interesting and Robert Jordan made many subplots to the story as well, giving each character their own history and journey.
Its very hard for you to read this book, put it down and not feel like youve been taken on an amazing journey.
All in all... a must read!
