How to get Ezeego1.com to work for you.

I’m updating my review and rating based on my recent experience with Ezeego1.com. I had to use them again since I had the spicejet coupons to be used.

This time there wasn’t any bitter experience and here is my advice to anyone who might want to deal with ezeego1.com

When to use:

  1. If there is a really compelling offer that you can benefit from.

How to use:

  1. Get the details of your flight from website.

  2. Call up their tele service.

  3. Make reservations through telephone.

  4. Use tele customer service when it is needed.

How not to use:

  1. Never use online booking.

  2. Never use email for customer service.

Basically, it’s a smooth sailing until a problem / error crops up. When you do face some problems going through their normal customer service would mean you have to go through hell and may never actually see an end. Instead, yell in these forums and review sites(after you have had your patience drained out), write a comment on their corporate blog, send personal emails to staff who are active on mouthshout. These will ensure speedy resolution. The staff that are active here at mouthshout are really courteous and put efforts to get issues resolved. But their customer service and online booking systems are basically broken.

Older review:

After seeing their ad of Spice Jet - Ticket pe Ticket free offer, I thought of booking tickets for my Parents and relatives via Ezeego1.com.

I chose the option to book through their billdesk service, which redirected to my axis bank net banking account. After the payment completed, I received a confirmation Transaction ID and success response from billdesk. But when it went back to the ezeego1 page, it threw up an error and they don’t even have a trace of this payment in my payment history page. I forwarded them all the payment details, their Mumbai account number to which I had made the payment, etc., This was on June 13th and was for 44K. I’m still struggling to get it refunded.

However, since I was desperate to book and get the SpiceJet offer, I booked through their telephonic booking  service, which worked very well.

What really creeps me out is their customer service. For the first email, they responded asking for more details even If I had sent them everything, including html URL links, query parameters, etc., I am a software engineer and am familiar with operations issues. So I sent each and every detail possible and they still responded asking for detail. And that was their last mail. All subsequent emails went unanswered. Calls to their customer service only resulted in me repeating the whole history every time and giving them all the case IDs, and they would just say, "we have forwarded the request to concerned department" WTF? Whats funny is the "concerned department" part.

Last time, after a lot of talking and being "on-hold" on telephone, the customer service girl assured me that the amount will be refunded within 72 hours. I asked repeatedly if I can take it as an official confirmation, and she said yes. I was glad that finally this will be over. But wait. It only gets more interesting from here.

I wait for 72 hours, nothing happens. Then since it is weekend, I wait till Monday. Monday passes, nothing happens. Yesterday evening I tried calling repeatedly to their customer service and was only greeted with "All our customer care executives are busy, your call is important to us and you will be attended to shortly" or some such crap. Then it goes to their voicemail box, which says the voicemail box is full and hangs up. This kept happening repeatedly. even today. Then, I had this intuition that they might be blocking my telephone. And tried calling through another phone. And guess what? It connected fine without any problem.

Now WTF is this company doing by blocking customer numbers? How can anybody trust such a company, which has crappy payment gateway implementation and equally crappy and totally unethical customer service?

Anyway, till now I had been polite and patient in all my communication with their customer service. for 18 days. I have had enough and this time I was not going to bear it.

So, when this call connected. another history lesson. and a shouting session ensued and I have been given another "With in 72 hours" confirmation. Lets see what happens.

Any guesses what is going to happen next?

Even after all this hell, since the telephonic booking through the customer service worked really well  and the customer care execs have been kind and restraining, I’m giving 2 stars for it.(they deserve more. but where am I going to include the crappy email support and problem resolution support part? and more importantly, their unethical practices?)  After all, what can the poor customer care call execs do if the operations guy(i.e, the "concerned" department) isn’t concerned and the software implementation is crappy?

Now I’m cursing myself for not having read the other reviews. Go to Cleartrip.com or Makemytrip.com, they give good offers and their site works.
