Cashback on Spicejet flights now credited back

On March 07, 2009 I have booked spicejet tickets under 75% cash back offer displayed on the ezeego website. Per terms of the offer any bookings made between March 01st to March 31st for travel date upto April 15th was eligible for cash back within 21 days from the transaction date however it’s been more than a month that cash back has not been credited back to my account.


On April 07, 2009 I have contacted them through phone and e-mail regarding the status of cash back against my following bookings: EZR-2009-131052/A dt 07.03.2009 EZR-2009-130981/A dt 07.03.2009 I was promised over phone that cash back status will be verified from accounts department and somebody will get in touch with me in 5 days. I was not convinced by the executive response and sent and e-mail to complaints@ezeego1.com same day. On April 09, 2009 I received the following response from Sagar Vaidya:


Dear Mr. Ahuja, > Greetings from Ezeego1. > Further to our investigation, please be informed, we have not been credited with the below amount. Request you to kindly check with your card issuing bank for further assistance.>We solicit your continued patronage and assure you of our best services at all times. >Thanks and Regards, >Sagar Vaidya >Ezeego One Travel and Tours Ltd. I was shocked after reading this e-mail that amount which is reflecting in my card statement has not been credited to ezeego1 but it was an issue to be resolved between bank and merchant (ezeego)thus I sent an e-mail on these lines with request to arrange for the cashback. Now, today (April 12, 2009)I have received a surprising e-mail from Ezeego as follows: - Dear Mr. Ahuja, Greetings from Ezeego One.


Please be informed that Ezeego1 reserves the right to change/make amends or withdraw the Offer, any time at the sole discretion of the Management. The Terms and Conditions of the promotion are subject to change without any prior notice. Further with respect to your booking vide Booking Reference Number EZR-2009-131052/A and EZR-2009-130981/A is not eligible for the 75% cash back offer on Spice Jet. This is because as per the offer terms and conditions the travel date was supposed to be completed before 3rd of April 09. Further it would be important to note that the offer terms and conditions were changed on 9th Mar 09 and the travel date was extended to be completed before 15th April 09.


Therefore, for all the booking done till midnight of 9th Mar 09 the earlier terms and conditions apply. The same are attached for your perusal. Hope the above clarifies. Should you require any further clarification please feel free to revert to me. Best Regards, Namrata Kamtekar Ezeego One Travel and Tours Ltd. - I totally disagree with this e-mail as the terms and conditions clearly reflected that the offer is valid for travel date upto April 15th and while booking the cashback amount was clearly reflected. I feel I am being cheated by ezeego and there wordings are changing everyday but a customer should get the benefits as displayed at the time of booking. I have sent an e-mail in this regard back to Namrata to arrange for the cash back to avoid any litigations and yet to hear from her. My advice is stay cautious about ezeego cash back offers and may be start recording your booking efforts on ezeego to have a proof on your side.


Update on April 15, 2009 After being on calls with their reps on phone for 1 hour or so today I have been assured by Mr. Naved, their senior reps that he will have to check with their technical team to verify if of March 07th 2009 the day I booked tickets the offer terms and conditions were reflecting travel dates between april 01 to april 15 and cash back was indicated while booking. Naved has assured me that he is going to call me back on Friday to update me.. Need to wait till Friday now... Meanwhile, would like to know if there is anyone else facing the similar issue or someone who can provide me evidence to support my claim of cashback. If yes, please write me at @@@(e-mail id masked on may 03rd)-- April 16, 2009 - Received a call from Pallavi today and she promised to revert back in 2 days after consulting her technical team.


I have reiterated the fact that on March 07the their terms and conditions reflected that offer is valid for travel till April 15th. Also, upon booking the after flight selection page clearly displayed that this booking is eligible for cash back. Personally, I feel their was an amount displayed though per PALLAVI their website never displays amount though it displays the cashback percentage. Anyway, I am 100% confident about the terms and conditions part. Also, thanks to Bikash Singhal who has sent me a confirmation/posted the same in comments that he called the customer service of Ezeego1 to confirm the eligibility dates and the response was that the offer is valid till April 15, 2009. I hope pallavi will be back within agreed timeframe to resolve this issue at the earliest. April 21 2009: No reply received from pallavi till today, contacted pallavi through e-mail and she sought some more time to resolve the issue. April 22, 2009: Received an e-mail from Mr. Amit Mittal facing the similar issue. Amit being proactive customer has taken screenshot of the offer/terms and conditions which clearly indicates that bookings made between March 01st to March 15th for travel date upto April 15th are eligible for cashback. hanks to Amit for sharing this proof to support our claim for cashback. I have forwarded the same to pallavi with a demand for an immediate cashback to all the customers who have booked spicejet flights between march 01st to march 15th for travel date upto April 15th. Awaiting reply from Pallavi..will update the post as soon as there is an update available. April 24th 2009: No reply / call back received from Pallavi till date, called again ezeego customer care & spoke to Rupali giving reference of interactions held with Naved and Pallavi. After being on hold for few minutes got info from Rupali that Pallavi is not available in office however she has contacted Naved and per him they are following up on this issue with concerned dept and she (rupali) will update me the status by 3 pm today.


Meanwhile, received an e-mail from Mr. Ganesh (who booked ticket on 06th march and facing similar issue) seeking screenshots of offer terms and conditions..provided the screenshots sent by Mr. Mittal (thanks again to him for being proactive). I am sure there are many other customers impacted by this however the big mystery to be resolved is "What the Ezeego’s customer service staff & Management team doing about this issue?" and do they really care about their customers and the commitments made by them..it’s 3pm & I am yet to receive an update status on this from Rupali. April 25, 2009: Received a callback from Pallavi today stating that she was out of office and could not respond to e-mails and now need 3 days time to resolve this issue. Also, received an e-mail confirmation from Pallavi in this regard.-April 28, 2009- Recieved an update from Mr.Ashwani and Mr. Ganesh that they have received e-mail from ezeego stating cashback amount will be processed within next 7 days. This is a positive indicator from ezeego team though I am yet to receive such e-mail confirmation from ezeego. April 29, 2009 - Received e-mail that cashback will be credited in 7 days..May 3, 2009.Cashback credited. Thanks
